Sunday, we went to Sacrament meeting in Honolulu at the McCully Ward. We met a guy there from Payson who has a neice who we knew that lives here in Springville. It is amazing how laid back the people are. It was good for my children to see that we can attend church wherever we go and they still pass the Sacrament and the church still runs more or less the same.
After church, we went to the Nuuanu Pali lookout. When Kamehameha the Great conquered all the islands, a final decisive battle was held here and the losing army was forced over the cliffs in defeat. It was very cold and windy up at that point, but beautiful for sure.
After taking in the view from the lookout, we went to Kailua beach and had a picnic. We then made our way home along the East coast. We stopped to see the Halona Blow Hole which is a natural formed blowhole that can shoot water several feet into the air. Some of the kids saw a turtle in the water below.
