IT'S GREAT TO BE EIGHT!!

Due to Tracy's work schedule, he misses the next several fast Sunday's and the baptisms the day before, so we were allowed special permission to baptize Hayden on Saturday, June 26. It was a very special day for our family. We had asked Hayden a while ago who he wanted to baptize him and he immediately said Landon. It was very neat to have Landon step into the font with Hayden and baptize him a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Landon did a great job. Tracy was able to confirm Hayden and give him the gift of the Holy Ghost. We were able to have several family members and friends there. Here is a short list of those who attended: Grandma and Grandpa Ross, Grandma and Grandpa McQuivey, Dallin, Cam and Julie and their kids, Misty and her kids along with her brother, Travis and Jurene and Cole, Tonya and her kids, David and Jill and their family, Jason and several friends and neighbors.
Happy Birthday buddy! We sure love you and we are proud of your decision.

Hair cuts

I needed to line all the kids up and get pictures. I will have to edit this post later. I went to take some pictures of Whitney cutting Katies hair and the battery died on my camera so it had to recharge. Whitney cut all the kids hair and trimmed mine too. Katie got a cute little bob again and Alexa got bangs (which I didn't want her to get, but they look really cute on her) Landon cut off his mop and Hayden got a fun summer do.

Driggs Idaho

On the way to Pauls house from Yellowstone, my parents stopped in Driggs, Idaho where I spent several years growing up. Our whole family has very fond memories of Idaho and our time there. They got a picture of 'The Spud' drive-in and our old house. The house has changed somewhat (no fence, pitch on the roof, no rock), but there are a lot of memories tied to that home. It is fun to see my kids in front of the house.

Yellowstone

Alexa, Hayden and Katie had the opportunity to go to Yellowstone with Grandma and Grandpa McQuivey. It rained almost the whole time they were there, but they had a good time anyway. It has been a crazy couple of years and we haven't had the chance to do things like this, so this was good for my kids. Thanks mom and dad, they had a great time.

Hiking in Provo Canyon

A few weeks ago, we took the family and headed up Provo Canyon for a day hike. We followed some streams that led us to a place up the mountain where the water is coming out of the ground for the springs. We had a fun time and we went at the right time of year, it was beautiful and not too hot.
