Grandma Huntsman's 90th Birthday Celebration!

Grandma Huntsman turned 90 on May 24. Don't pay attention to the date on the thumbnail card, I forgot to check the date and my camera always has is wrong. We had a big celebration with probably over 100 family members attending. She didn't know that we were doing it, so she was pretty surprised. She has been around through a lot and she is one of the hardest working ladies that I know. She still plants her big garden and takes care of it--she will be out there picking rocks while holding onto her cane for support. She is a very special lady and we love her. Happy Birthday Grandma!

Hayden's Promotion from Kindergarten

Posted by Picasa

Once again, I am a terrible photographer--especially lately, I can't hold still if I wanted to. Hayden's teacher prefers that they call it a promotion and not a graduation since they still have so far to go in school. He did really well and he finished off the year by finishing all the Sam books. They did a cute little program and some of the girls were sheep--so that is why they look like that in the background. Hayden was a penguin for one part. One of the boys in his class was a Rooster who woke everyone up and he was hillarious. He just crowed to the music and he didn't make a sound, but he sure made the actions big. It just goes so fast every year. I can't believe that he will be moving on and that Katie will be in Kindergarten next year and Whitney will graduate--time flies.

Alexa's pet day

Poor Tabby had to go back to school again for pet day for Alexa this time. They did have some pretty cool animals, I am a horrible photographer and I have a horrible camera, but here is a little of the variety. Alexa had a great time. They also had a turtle, tarantula's, sugar gliders, a horse and many dogs.

More Pre-school art show

Katie's teacher has been fabulous!! She had a Spring art show and she had another one for the end of the year. Here is Katie playing with her friends and showing us all of her terrific art. She has loved going and she has learned so much. Now it is up to me to keep up on all the reading, counting, spelling and the smarts that she has aquired!

New Nephew

Congratulations to Paul & Cami who had their little boy early this morning (4:47 a.m.) 7 lbs. 5 oz. 20 inches. They are still working on a middle name, but they are naming him Jace. Now I have a cousin named Jace and 2 nephews named Jace--how fun! We are so excited for them, this rounds them out pretty good with 2 girls and 2 boys.

Shop

We got a call from some guy who wanted to meet us down at our shop this morning to talk about putting an offer in on the building. I dropped Katie off at pre-school and headed down a little early so that I could weed a few of the patches that were bugging me (I know we are losing the building, don't ask, it's a Huntsman thing)! Tracy came a little bit after me and right after that, these guys pull up. They started to talk to Tracy and I came over after they had been talking for a minute. I shook hand with the guy who looked like he was the most in charge and stepped back for a second and one of the younger guys said "I think that you are my cousin". I looked at him and could see that it was my cousin Gabe. Small world. It looks like he owns a realty company and that he is working with these guys and looking at this as an investment. I guess we will see what happens.

Personal lines license

I finally got around to studying for the test for my Personal Lines License (Auto and Home). I always get in to the testing center and wonder if I even looked over the same information that I am testing on, but I PASSED with 81%!! We are excited because this will help to get a little supplemental income and it might help to build up Tracy's work load as well.

Last Chance Dance

At Last Chance Dance, it is girls choice and they wear hats. This year, Whitney asked Alex Meacham. He is in her World Civilization class. He is a Senior and he hasn't gone to many dances, so it really is his "last chance". They went up to Sandy and went to the aquarium and out to dinner and Rhumbi Grill, 4-wheeling, home to freshen up and off to the dance. I'm sure my mom will ask, so I will just answer it now, yes, those pants came that way and she paid a lot of money for them (and I hate them), but she looks cute regardless! :)

STAR of the week

Hayden was the STAR of the week for Kindergarten last week. We were able to go in and tell about Hayden and what he likes and share a treat with the class. I just got a quick picture of his class.
It was also Pet day at the school and so we brought Tabby and I snapped a couple of pictures of Hayden with some friends when they were holding one of the kids pet snakes.
