Happy Birthday Alexa
It is hard to believe that Alexa is 11 today. One more year and she will go into Young Women. Eleven years ago, June firtief (30) in the American Fork hospital, a beautiful 5 lb. 14 oz. baby girl was added to our family. She used to pronounce her birthday as June furr-ti-eff for those of you who didn't know what that top part meant. She has a heart of gold. She has always been a very loving little girl. She loves to take care of others. Everyone loved to come over to our house and have Alexa come running up to give them a big hug. As we have added to our family, she has been so loving with Hayden and Katie--they are like her kids. We are so thankful to have her, she teaches us a lot. Happy Birthday Alexa, we love you!!

Summer Lovin
Alexa took these pictures of the waterfall in our back yard, cousins being silly and Hayden and Katie showing love.
Alexa's back from camp
Alexa made it back from Shadow Mountain. She came back not feeling too well. She said it was ok, but when she is better, we might get a better reaction out of her. She said the cabins were really dusty and the bathrooms were disgusting--Whitney had already told her that. Morgan, Elise, Ashlyn, Hayden and Katie made this sign for her. Everyone missed her and we were glad that she made it home safe.
David and Jill's Sealing
David and Jill were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Saturday, June 21. All of the Ross' except Jason were there. Jill had her Parents and her brother and older sister there too. It was a really nice day. We are happy for them
Summer fun
Here are the kids having fun with the Gardner and Ross cousins. We fed the ducks at our shop and then we went to a farm that some people in Springville own that has kangaroo's and all sorts of wildlife.
Hayden is a slugger
Here is Hayden at his final games. He had a good time with t-ball. He wants to play basketball as well. I guess we'll see if they let kids his age play.

Alexa is at camp
Alexa went to a summer camp that they do here for kids who just finished 5th grade. The camp is called Shadow Mountain. Whitney and Landon both went and they loved it. I took Alexa over to meet the bus Monday morning and she was nervous--she had been the night before also. When we got there, several girls were paired with their friends (this is all of Springville area). Alexa just stood by me in line waiting to turn her medical form in. I tried to get her to go load her stuff or find a friend, but she wouldn't. I looked over and she was crying. I just tried to tell her that it would be fun and she would have a great time, but she wasn't convinced. We turned in her form and loaded her stuff and about that time, she saw her friends. She gave me a quick side hug and left to be with them. They stood in line for the bus and I stood by her friends mom's and talked until we watched them pull away. I forgot to bring my camera, so I didn't get any pictures. She will be back Wednesday afternoon--hopefully she has a good time.

Katie is CRAZY!!!

I went to take something to Tracy at work and Katie and Hayden came with me. I got there and I looked back and here was Katie with fruit snacks stuck to her face. She went in to see Tracy like that and she just walked real slow with her head slightly tilted so that they would stay on. She had sticky dots on her face until she went to her friends house and I made her wash it.

St. George trip
I took Alexa, Hayden and Katie down to St. George for a little weekend trip. Alexa was anxious to see the Gardner girls--she is still down there until tomorrow. We had a fun time until Friday night when Whitney called in a panic because her car was broken into.
We visited with Jen and saw baby Holden--he is so cute!! We took Ryan and Jen's kids to the dinosaur museum and then we headed to a park for lunch. We went to the rec. center in Washington to take the kids swimming and that was a little busy--that and the fact that right when we got there, they cleared the pool because some little kid pooped in the pool. After waiting for them to figure that out and get everything cleaned up, we hopped in and tried to keep up with all of the little kids. Ryan had met us at the park and he went in with his kids. I went in and tried to keep an eye on mine and Grandpa went in and tried to watch Angie's kids. Mom and Angie (and Jen at the end) sat on the sidelines and watched. We did pretty good although it was hectic at times. After we had been there a couple of hours, somone pooped in the pool again and we had to get out. We decided that it was a good time to leave.
We went back to mom and dad's for dinner and we watched The Bucket List. Whitney called when the movie was almost over and she was in a panic about her car. I felt bad that I was in St. George and couldn't help her out. Tracy was at a meeting in Salt Lake . I called a neighbor who came over and helped her file a police report and cancel her credit card. Thank heaven for good friends.
I was supposed to go with my parents to their property up by Hatch on Saturday before heading home, but I was too concerned about Whitney and getting her stuff figured out. I got Hayden and Katie ready and we left to see if we could help at home. We were able to replace her phone Saturday. They gave us a deal for $45 because the other one was stolen. We replaced her license, social security card and debit card. We are trying to put an alert on her credit. They took weird things too, like her lotions that were sitting seperate on her seat. They left her CD's. They took her change out of her ash-tray. We have spent most of today working stuff out and I am trying to petition for camera's in the employee parking lot and have her get permission to park somewhere else because that is a scary place.

Whitney's Car got broken into..

Whitney had her car broken into on Friday the 13th. She had left her purse with her wallett in it, shoved up under her seat. They took her radio from her car and her purse with her i-pod, cell phone, make-up, wallett (which contained her license, social security card and debit card along with a small amount of cash). She was in a panic. I just worry about her general safety in that area especially at night. I am trying to get special permission from the manager for her to park in the regular lot. Here are a few pictures. I think she learned a valuable lesson about leaving stuff in your car. We replaced her license and applied to have them send her a new SS card. She filled out the form for a new debit card--there have been no new charges on that either.

Katie can ride a 2-wheeler

Alexa wanted to teach Katie how to ride her bike without training wheels. I helped for a little bit, but then Alexa took over. It didn't take too long to learn how to do it and she was off like a pro. Alexa took Hayden and Katie on a victory ride around the block and she did it the whole way. Katie said "at first I was afraid and then I got excited."

Update on Shop

Here are the updated pictures of the building--they aren't as close up as the last ones. The two with the kids feeding the ducks are at the building across the street, our pond is kind of hard to get to right now. Katie was so cute when she was feeding the ducks. She would try to throw some to each duck and when she was down to only a little left, she looked at me and said "which poor little duck didn't get any?" She is so fun.
New Shop
Here are some pictures of our shop--although these were taken a couple of weeks ago and we are much farther ahead now. I will have to get down and take more pictures and let you see the progress.
