McQuivey Family Campout

This will be one of the longest posts you might ever see. When we went camping with the Ross family earlier in the Summer my camera battery was dead and so I didn't get any pictures. I made sure to remember to bring the camera with the battery charged for this one.
Over labor day weekend we went to my mom and dad's property by Bryce National Park. For the first couple of days it was just our family (most of us) and Cameron's family along with mom. We decided on the second day that since we were so close to Bryce Canyon that we would go and do a couple hikes and check out the beautiful scenery. We had such a fun time and Bryce Canyon was beautiful.
On Saturday night Cam and Julie ran back to Kanab so they could go to church on Sunday and Sunday morning my mom went to get dad so we had a little outdoor church service by ourselves. Mike's family and Ryan's oldest three kids joined us on Sunday night--along with Grandma and Grandpa of course. We rode four-wheelers and and did some crafts and just sat around and had fun.
We had too much stuff to try to pack in our Suburban so you can see from a couple of the pictures that we converted our trailer into a camp trailer in luxury. We had to go out to use mom and dad's bathroom but we had a real king sized bed and the kids slept on camping cots and air mattresses--that was the best camping bed I have ever slept on. We took our old carpet (with padding) from the family room and rolled it out in the trailer and we had a sweet set-up.
The kids played so cute together and I caught just a few of the fun moments that we had. The kids will hopefully remember this for a long time and we hope to make this an annual tradition in the McQuivey family.
