THE CRY

This little clip was taken probably 40 minutes AFTER we had dropped Landon off. These little kids were so sad. We still had errands to run and things to do after we dropped Landon off. As we were driving home 5-6 hours later, these little kids were still crying off and on. Landon had drawn a picture for Hayden and every once in a while he would look at it and start crying all over again. Everyone seemed to be better the next day. We will probably have moments where we miss him terribly, but right now I'm just so excited for him and I'm so excited to start getting letters and seeing the growth.

THE DROP OFF

This is bad video but it gives you a sense of what goes on when you drop your missionary off now. There are missionaries lining the sidewalk and you just pull up and they help him grab his luggage and they whisk them away. I wanted to get a couple pictures, so I didn't video tape the whole thing.

THIS IS GOODBYE...FOR NOW

Words cannot express all the emotions that you go through when sending out a missionary. We have prayed for this day for almost 19 years, so of course we are happy. We are so proud of the man that Landon is becoming and know that he will grow so much on his mission. We are nervous for him and for what he may encounter on his mission. We are scared he will change his mind. We are excited to hear about the people he will teach and the companions he will have-all the people he will meet. Overall, it is a surreal experience and we are happy for Landon and so full of love for him and for our whole family.

GREAT GRANDMA "COOKIE"

We stopped off in American Fork on our way to Whitney's so that Landon could say goodbye to his great grandma McQuivey, or grandma "cookie" as everyone calls her. Grandma turned 90 in September and she is now the last living child in her family. Noone knows is grandma will still be here when Landon gets back and we wanted to make sure that she knows that we all love her. She sent Landon some money for his mission and it was nice to thank her in person and give her one last hug before Landon left.

FAMILY TOGETHERNESS

We wanted to get some family pictures before Landon left for two years. We headed out to Lehi on March 5 so we could get pictures and to have dinner and enjoy each other's company. I have the best family!
