I just wanted to wish my Mom a Happy Birthday today. I won't post a picture, because she would kill me. I wish I had one from when she was younger, like high-school or her wedding. She is a pretty lady, even though she hates camera's and has passed that phobia onto me somewhat.
My mom was always the mom that did 4-H and helped us to learn new things and to excel in all that we did. From my mom, I learned how to cook--I even won the blue ribbon at the county fair along with a cash prize for stuffed meatballs.
My mom was the mom that any kid in the neighborhood could come to for help or for an answer to a question--any question. We had some interesting discussions with neighbor kids around.
My mom is so kind and giving. Whenever I need help, she is there to lend a hand or just an ear. She has such good advice and I don't know what I will do when she is gone, because she knows everything about everything (or at least we thought she did).
She has such a wonderful way with children. When my kids go to Grandmas, they love to make crafts and hunt for rocks. They learn about nature and animals and how to survive in the wilderness. They play games and win prizes, go hiking, 4-wheeling and camping.
She is such a great person and she has taught me a lot. I wouldn't be who I am today without my mother.
Happy Birthday, I love you mom.
