Farewell talk

Sunday, February 24, 2013
1 1/2 weeks until Landon enters the MTC in Provo. We are so excited/nervous/happy/scared for him. We are almost done with everything we need to get done in order for Landon to go. We are so proud of him. We started a new blog for Landon-I will also include some of that on this blog but you can check him out on his mission at ElderLandonRoss.blogspot.com

Temple day

We had such a wonderful day at the Vernal Utah Temple on February 2, 2013. It was so exciting to go through the Temple with Landon for the first time.

THE CALL

The moment we've all been waiting for...

Since before I could remember, I have prayed that my sons (and daughters too-if they wish) would go on missions. I pray more than anything that they will stay close to the gospel because I don't know where I would be without it in my life.  This world is getting so scary and I want to be with my family forever. We were so excited when Landon announced he wanted to go on a mission. We could hardly stand to wait for everyone to get home so we could open this call.

Christmas 2012

So good to have all my kids home for at least one last year! We had such a fun time. We are truely blessed.

Ugly Sweaters

We had ugly sweater day at the high school. Dana let me borrow this lovely little number. The counseling department ladies posed with Santa (Rick Nielsen) and his elf (Mike Ross). We had a fun week

Fun in the little bit of snow

We didn't get much snow this year but the kids still had fun out in it. Hayden posed by Katelyn's snowman and he built a ramp of his own. It got extremely cold out in the Basin this year so we are glad that we are warming up a little now.

Hayden finds a new talent

Whitney taught Hayden and Katelyn to do a chain stich, they spent a whole weekend doing it. We went to the salon to get our hair done and Hayden saw me under the dryer so he wanted to do that when I was finished. He sat under the dryer and did crochet. What a fun picture that makes.

Continuing to learn and grow

Tracy decided to take a class to become an EMT. He started taking the class when we lived in Springville and he was living with his parents in Roosevelt. When the family lived apart, it didn't affect us as much but it sure became a pain when we moved to Roosevelt and Tracy was gone so much. We also moved twice while he was in the class. They needed volunteers so that they could practice and get their hours in. We took the family and had pizza and helped them get their hours. He is now a licensed EMT and is constantly working hard for us. He is amazing.
