PROM
Here are some pictures from Prom 2010. Landon and Whitney looked like they could almost go together. They had a good time and they looked good too.

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN LANDON!
Funny story about Landon's cake. I found a really good recipe and Whitney had the day off of school, so she said she would make the cake. She forgot to spray the pans and the cake stuck to the bottom. I didn't really care at that point because I was too tired to fix it, so we just dumped the frosting on it and there it is. My poor kids don't get elaborate cakes for their birthday. We sure make the best of it and have a good time anyway.

Sorry, I don't know how to rotate the one image at this point. These are just a few random pictures that I could find of Landon. I can't believe that Landon is sixteen tomorrow.
Sixteen years ago, we went to the hospital thinking that I might be in labor, but a little nervous since I was not due until mid may. They tried to stop my labor and sent me home. I went home and took a nap with Whitney and when I woke up, I was back in labor again, so we headed back and this time they just let me go. We welcomed Landon very early in the morning on April 14, 1994. He was 6 lbs 1 oz. and he had a little bit of trouble breathing so they had him stay a couple extra days in the hospital.
We have been so blessed to have the kids that we do. Landon has been such a fun kid. He is so loving to his brother and sisters--most of the time. I am thankful for the opportunity that I have had to be Landon's mother for the past 16 years. We have enjoyed watching him grow and we can't wait to see what the future holds for him.
Happy Birthday Landon, We love you!

New Floor
We decided that since we were going to be gone, it would be a great time to re-finish the hardwood in the kitchen that had been damaged by a water leak. While we were refinishing, we decided to tear out the carpet in the family room and put hardwood in there. If you ignore the mess, it looks really good. We need to get a rug for the center of the room and finish putting things back together, but it does add a lot to the house. It makes it seem like it flows better and it is sure going to be easier to keep up on.

Disneyland
I didn't get many pictures of Disneyland. The first day, I went to take pictures and my battery was dead--it is a rechargable one, so I had to wait until the next day and then I just mostly forgot. Whitney and Landon got a few more pictures than me, so maybe I can borrow some of theirs some other time.
Disneyland was very overcrowded. I think it was just about everyone's Spring break. I won't ever go in April again. We did hit every ride that we wanted to one time and a couple of them twice, but we stood in long lines a lot and wore ourselves out.
We stayed late on Thursday and got on a few more rides that way but we were too tired to do that again on Friday. We woke up Saturday morning and headed home. We had a fun vacation and enjoyed spending time together. We were happy to be home and get a days rest before getting back into the mix of things.

La Jolla Beach
We stopped at La Jolla Beach on our way from San Diego to Anaheim on Tuesday. It was windy and and not very warm. The water was cold, but the kids didn't seem to care. We let them run around and play in the ocean for a while and Hayden had a fun time building sand castles. Once we got to Disneyland and saw the crowds, I wish we had a few more lazy days like this that we could spend at the beach. Once again, we had a good time and it was nice to sit back and watch the kids have fun and enjoy some time off.

Sea World
On Easter Sunday we headed out from Grandma and Grandpa McQuivey's house to head to San Diego. When we were almost there, we had a friend text and say that we shouldn't go because there had been an earthquake. I didn't believe him and we were already almost there, so we got to the hotel and I asked them expecting them to laugh at me, but they confirmed that there had been an earthquake that day and that they had felt it. We did not see any visible damage but that night there were a couple of aftershocks that woke both Tracy and I up. Whitney said that she felt it too, but the other kids just slept right through them and they were 5.0 and 5.4 or something. We hoped that with the earthquake the day before and raining on Monday, there would not be too many people at Sea World--that did work pretty well for Monday. We went again on Tuesday and the weather was better and there were a lot more people.
We had a really good time. The kids love Sea World and getting to see the fun shows and all the animals. They also have a new ride called Atlantis that is really fun. We went on the ride on Monday and then everyone but Whitney and I went on it again on Tuesday--I snapped a couple pictures of them on the ride. We all had a great time and we enjoyed the time we spent together as a family.

Hayden's 1st grade program on values
Hayden's class did a program about fairytales and values. Hayden was one of Humpty Dumpty's friends. The program was really cute and it had some fun songs about the values that we should have. The lady standing behind Hayden when he is sitting down is his teacher Ms. Robison.

Easter 2010
The Easter Bunny came to our house on Friday night because we left on Saturday to head to St. George in preparation for our California trip. The kids each got an Easter outfit and some candy and we had another egg hunt when we got to Grandma's house. We listened to most of conference on Saturday and we feel grateful to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we are truly blessed.
