Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple

We are so blessed to have so many Temples that are in such close proximity to us. After we toured this new Temple, we went out and took some pictures by the fountain and from that view, you can see the Jordan River Temple and the Draper Temple--I tried to take pictures of that, but with my cheap camera, this is about as good as it gets. Whitney was out with friends and Alexa was at a Birthday party--she had already seen it. Hayden and Katie were really on one and they kept wanting to do 'bunny ears' on themselves. It was so funny, because the first few times they would do them upside down and they looked more like a GQ pose. I posted a few of the kids by the water feature because you can see how much of a hard time Landon had in getting the kids to take a decent picture.
The Temple of course was beautiful. It is so nice to be able to take the kids to tour them before they open. Katie always talks my ear off and has a few questions and so many profound thoughts. I am so glad that we have Temples today and to know that I am tied forever to these sweet kids--what joy!

These pictures are entered backwards, but you can still see that we had a great time. We decided to hike up to the Falls in PG for a Family activity. We had a great time. We packed a picnic and ate that at the park below before starting out on the hike. We enjoyed the views and we stopped to play in the river a little on the way back. What a beautiful view and a fun activity to share with each other.

HAPPY 19TH ANNIVERSARY HONEY!!

I can't believe that it was 19 years ago today that Tracy and I were married--that seems like such a long time, but it has gone by so fast. We will have to plan on doing something marvelous for our 20th next year. It has been a wonderful ride. I really do believe that my parents moved back out to Roosevelt only so that I could meet Tracy. He is such a good guy. He is a wonderful father and such a caring, loving husband.
It has been great honey. Here is to the next 19 years!!

HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY ALEXA!!

I can't believe that Alexa is 12. She has been waiting for braces for a long time. We had her last 3 baby teeth pulled last week in preparation for the big event. The roots had not dissolved at all and had just grew around the new, permanent tooth. On the morning of her birthday, we went in and got her braces--you can see a cute little before and after picture of her.
She is also participating in a study where they are testing a few different products that they are hoping will help with de-calcification (those ugly white spots) that appear on some peoples teeth after braces. They gave Alexa a bunch of mints that she needs to take 5 times a day. She gets free toothpaste through the whole 2 years and they are going to moniter her progress. For participating, she got a $10 gift certificate to University Mall in Orem. She will get a new prize every time she goes in for a check up and she will get $100 bill when she gets her braces removed--not a bad deal for free!!
The Orthodontist and his assistants all sang her Happy Birthday and gave her some balloons too.
After getting the braces, we headed off to Lagoon to continue celebrating the day. I can't believe she is 12 already--going into Young Women. Her Young Women Leader came over with some of the girls while we were at the Orthodontist and decorated her room to welcome her to Beehives. What an exciting time of life--it all goes so fast from here.
Happy Birthday to a sweet Young Lady. We love you Alexa.
