Cute kids

I have been meaning to post a couple of things but I never have time to get around to it. I think that it is great how my kids take care of each other. The funnest to watch right now is how Katelyn takes care of her older brother Hayden. The other day the school called Whitney to let her know that Katie had come into the office right after she got off the bus to let them know that they needed to call home and tell someone to bring Hayden's cough medicine. Hayden had been sick and any time he gets sick his asthma flares up. Katie told them that we had forgotten to give it to him and he needed it.
When Hayden got his bloody nose on the first day he told the office that they needed to call Katie in because she knew my phone number and could give it to them quick so they could call me. I'm sure the office gets a kick out of them.

The other night I was making fruit leather with my ripe peaches. Katie came over to the sink and started to help me take the skin off the peaches. I talked to her about how that was so nice and helpful and that we were like a team. I had been up the night before until after midnight bottling salsa and making the fruit leather looked like it might be another long night.
The next day Katie came into the kitchen and she said "If you were going to tell me thanks for helping with the peaches I would say 'your welcome' because I helped us be like a team and made it so you didn't get to bed so late every night." Isn't she so cute?
