Alexa

Alexa came to me a week or so ago complaining of a bump that she had on her ankle. I didn't pay to much attention because she complains a lot. Every time I looked at it, it just looked like some little bump--maybe a bug bite or something. Yesterday she was complaining worse and she said that it itched and it hurt to walk on that foot. I still couldn't see much, but I put a little medicine on it and let it go. Today she came down and was really limping and won't put much weight on it. After her choir practice, I stopped to take a look at it and it was really swollen and obviously infected. I took her in to the Dr. and she does have a pretty good infection going. They drained it and took a sample to send to the lab--we won't know the results on that until Monday or Tuesday. They gave her an antibiotic and drew a circle around the infection and told us to watch it and make sure it doesn't go beyond that. Tonight, we cleaned it out again and it looks like the redness has gone down, but her foot is very stiff and is swollen even more. I will have Tracy give her a blessing and we will hope that it hasn't gotten into the bone or something. Just more to add to your prayers.

Tell Alexa we hope she feels better soon, and that her foot heals well.
She can write this in her journal as a "boy (or girl) who called wolf" story.

We hope her foot is o.k. Lots of fun right now I'm sure.

That is so crazy. I thought 2009 could be your year with no doc visits...ha ha. We will keep her our prayers. Keep us posted and we will see you in two weeks.
