Update on Alexa

We took Alexa back in yesterday because even though the redness had gone down, her foot had swollen huge. They worried that the infection was in her bone or that there were puss pockets in her foot. She had been using crutches because it hurt to walk with the infection. They did an x-ray and found that it was not in her bone and there were no puss pockets. The culture had not come back yet, but the Dr. said that that is actually a good sign. The really bad bacteria grow really quickly and not hearing anything was actually good news. They called today and said that it is nothing harmful. The reason her foot had swollen so much was just because of not using it. She started trying to walk on it a little more and the swelling has gone down significantly. The medicine seems to be working and I think that we are going to be ok. Thanks for all your prayers.
