Five Years ago today

Five years ago today, after days of contractions due to Katie being in a posterior position and less than an hour after arriving at the hospital, we welcomed a beautiful 7 lb. 3 oz. baby girl into our family. Katelyn Jean means precious gift from God and this is what she is to us. We did not plan on Katie's arrival, but we are so thankful that she came to our family--we would not be complete without her. I posted some recent pictures of Katie on a slideshow. She is so fun. She is a goof-ball, tomboy, who can keep up with the best of them. She has her own great little personality and she will do as she pleases.
When I brought Katie home from the hospital, I looked down at her and I felt like I had known her long ago--she seemed like an old soul. She brings such love and joy to our family. She is the one who probably more than anyone has taught us to express our love for each other verbally.
Katie is smiles and laughs, hugs and kisses, sunshine and sometimes rain. She is a bundle of joy and we don't know where we would be without her in our lives. Happy 5th Birthday Katie--We love you!!
