LOVE TAG
What is your husband's name? Tracy Wayne Ross
How long have you been together? 18 years, 8 months--something like that
How long did you date? one year one month. The only reason we dated that long was because we started dating the summer before my senior year in high school. He was 21 and I was not quite 17. I did not want to get married before I was 18 so we waited a while. I took out my endowments on my 18th birthday and we were married 4 days later.
Who eats more? No doubt--Tracy
Who said I love you first? I can't remember--the feeling was mutual
Who is taller? Tracy by about five inches
Who has more speeding tickets? Neither one of us has any on our record right now--we probably are equal in the number we have ever received
Who is smarter? Depends on the subject, we compliment each other well
Who is more sensitive? Me
Who does the laundry? I do ours and the three youngest kids, Whitney and Landon do their own
Who does the dishes? The kids do them for one of their chores but I also do probably a load a day and now that Whitney works, I do hers when she is not here
Who sleeps on the right? Tracy
Who pays the bills? Me--Tracy always refers all financial questions to me
Who mows the lawn? Usually the kids, if not, then me--I actually like to
Who cooks dinner? Me
Who drives when you are together? We take turns, but mostly me--he doesn't like to listen to me tell him how to drive from the passenger seat, so he just lets me do it
Who is more stubborn? Me, for sure
Who kissed whom first? We kissed on the first date. He says I kissed him and he is probably right. I couldn't resist--but he was very willing
Who asked who out first? Our sisters set us up because they needed a date for him, after the first date, we were never apart--I think we just set up the next night every night when we were together
Who proposed? Tracy and he did a wonderful job of it. He surprised me. He had his sister cook dinner for us and he had the room filled with balloons and flowers. We had a nice dinner and then Tonya brought out a rose with the ring tied to it and he got down on one knee. He did not ask my father, I think he thought that the answer would be no--my dad had just had a heart attack and he did not want to give him another one. I am surprised that he didn't when I came home at 17 wearing a ring.
Who has more siblings? Tracy does (5 brothers, 1 sister) I have 4 brothers and 1 sister

I tag Dana if she wants to do it.

Very nice. As one of the sisters who set you two up, I just have to tell the rest of the story.

I really really liked one of Tracy's friends (all these boys were just home from their missions, and I was a senior and Bonnie and Tonya were juniors). We had talked a few times and kind of hit it off so I wanted a real date with him.

Tonya and I tried to work a plan. Who could we double with if we set up a group date thing? That was pretty easy, as Tonya kind of had a thing for Tracy's friend Brent.

Then we came to Tracy. I didn't think it was right to leave him out, but we could think of NO ONE to set him up with. It was so funny. Finally, I said, "Well, maybe Bonnie would go with him. She's way too young for him but she might go".

I remember sitting there that night watching a movie and Bonnie and Tracy were obviously hitting it off. Brent and Tonya were cuddling on the couch (I don't think they ever kissed but they did hold hands). And Merrill and I, well, we just had a good time and never laid a hand on each other. I saw him a few more times and then we went off to different colleges and I never saw him again.

It probably didn't help that my ex was his little brother. He (the little brother) was also Bonnie's ex but we won't even go there. Too many long stories if we start talking about dating brothers!! Oh my, I'm so glad those days are done!!
